Sanctuary Ashmore Team at the 2025 Sanctuary Gala

At Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Ashmore, our team is the heart of everything we do. This year at the Sanctuary Gala, we were proud to see so many of our educators and leaders recognised for the extraordinary love, care, and dedication they bring to our centre every day.

These awards celebrate more than professional excellence — they recognise the everyday moments that make childhood magical and family life supported. We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our Ashmore team.

Congratulating

Mateo – Chef of the Year
Mateo does more than prepare nutritious meals — he nourishes the minds and hearts of children. With creativity in the kitchen and warmth in the classroom, he turns mealtimes into moments of connection and joy. Families and children alike adore his food, and we are so proud to see his talents recognised with this award.

Jo – Early Childhood Teacher of the Year
Jo is a guiding light for our kindergarten children. With a calm presence and deep commitment to school readiness, she empowers children to take on the world with confidence and curiosity. Her teaching is not just about preparing children for school, but about nurturing the whole child — mind, heart, and spirit.

Gairlie – Educator of the Year
Gairlie’s warmth is felt the moment you walk into her room. She lifts others with her positivity, brings creativity to her teaching, and always puts the needs of children first. Her ability to build strong connections with both children and families makes her a much-loved member of our Sanctuary Ashmore family.

Our finalists

Leanne’s leadership is grounded in kindness and capability. She supports her team with care while ensuring families always feel heard and valued.

Sanctuary Ashmore – Finalist, Centre of the Year
Being named a finalist for Centre of the Year is recognition of our whole team. From the laughter of children in our classrooms to the strong relationships with families, Ashmore is a true community — and we couldn’t be prouder of our collective achievement.

Why this matters

The recognition isn’t just about awards — it’s about the meaningful difference our educators, chef, and leaders make in the lives of children and families every single day. When our team is celebrated on stage, it reflects the care, connection, and commitment your children experience at Ashmore, day in and day out.

We are so proud of our three award recipients, finalists, and every member of our Sanctuary Ashmore family. Thank you to the children and families who walk alongside us each day — your trust and partnership make achievements like this possible.

Please join us in celebrating the incredible people of Sanctuary Ashmore!
